HELEN DILLEY BARSALOU

Helen Dilley Barsalou is a national award-winning watercolorist, who lives and paints in Annandale, Virginia.  Her work hangs in corporate, public, and private collections throughout the country.  She is  a native of South Dakota where her feeling for great distances  was born.   Although she finds landscapes give her the most satisfaction as an artist she also enjoys painting florals, figures, and semi-abstract works.  In addition to her many well deserved and earned accolades, she is also the grandmother of Dr. Luke.   Dr. Luke and his wife both grew up admiring Grandma Helen's beautiful artwork and are proud to display and share her work with the Rogue Valley in our office.  Her website can be found by following this link and if you are interested in purchasing her artwork, please let our staff know.

MEREDITH CLARK

When our office began, Dr. Luke wanted to be able to make people feel like they were coming home when they stepped into our office, which is when he turned to local photographer Meredith Clark.  With Meredith's inspiration and eye for capturing beauty, we are proud to be able to share her images of the nearby area as they make all of us feel more "at home" with the natural beauty around us.

In Meredith's words: "Photography is a long-time passion of mine [Meredith's], and I believe that everyone should have access to affordable, high-quality photographs of their loved ones!  My goal is to create portrait sessions that are relaxed and fun - you may not find suitcases full of props, but you will find a devotion to capturing simple, classic and elegant images that reflect YOU just as you are.  I specializes in natural light portrait sessions for newborns, children, and families of all ages."

linda abblett

We met Linda relatively recently but struck up some great conversation about art and painting and it was out of that that we asked her if she was willing to share some of her art with us and display it in our office for sale and admiration.  Linda is a teacher and artist and has gifts that blow me away when it comes to her art.  If you've never tried painting, it's difficult, if you've tried painting watercolor well...it's almost impossible.  She makes it look easy.   The following is from her website which we've linked below and information about her is posted in our office as well.

When I moved to Oregon in the 1970s I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Living here is an endless source of inspiration for many of my watercolor paintings. Oregon landscapes and rivers have been a favorite subject, as well as still life, florals and architecture. Another source of inspiration is traveling with my husband. We love Italy, the place of my family’s roots. I find the rich textures and colors of old world cultures, as well as the people, wonderful subjects to paint. It was here in Oregon that I was introduced to watercolors. I’ve had the privilege of learning under the instruction of accomplished watercolorists like Lavonne Tarbox-CroneJudy Morris and Margaret Godfrey. These wonderful artists have inspired and nurtured me, but above all I want to acknowledge that my abilities are a gift of the Creator, whose beautiful masterpieces cannot be rivaled.

I have been a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon since 2004. ~ Linda Abblett Thank you for your interest in learning more about Linda Abblett!
